Mr. Warner is the Dean of Faculty and Curriculum for Sacred Heart Academy’s Lower School. He also teaches the third and fourth grade CEC. He says, “I love to observe how outstanding literature molds the character of students.” Mr. Warner graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a Bachelor of Arts in 1998. Mr. Warner also earned a 3-year diploma from the Antiochian House of Studies in Eastern Christian Theology in 2014. He served as a high school missionary teacher in Belize, Central America in 1998-1999. He taught elementary school in the Archdiocese of Denver for four years between 1999-2003, and served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps from 2003-2007. He is a veteran of wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan. From 2009-2016 Mr. Warner taught 4th and 5th grade at Trinity Academy, an independent school in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. He brings to Sacred Heart Academy a wealth of practical knowledge for implementing a strong reading, writing, and arithmetic program within the vein of Catholic classical education. Mr. Warner occasionally writes for Catholic World Report on Catholic Culture and Orthodox-Catholic relations. He is the founder of Warrior Camp, a father-son camping retreat. He and his wife, Katy, also run a for-profit, health apostolate called Healthy Merry Living.
