Faculty Bio

Mr. Walsh, Sacred Heart Academy’s Upper School Dean of Students, holds a bachelor of arts in history, with an emphasis in secondary education, as well as master of arts in education, with a focus in literacy, from Aquinas College, Grand Rapids. Mr. Walsh has been part of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish for fifteen years and a teacher at Sacred Heart Academy for the last fourteen years. He is active in the Knights of Columbus and serves as a lector at the parish. Mr. Walsh’s involvement at the Academy as Dean of Students is split between administrative and classroom responsibilities. His education has been predominantly in Catholic schools and he is strong advocate of the ministerial role Catholic schools fulfill. Mr. Walsh is proud to serve the students and families of Sacred Heart Academy and says that his vocational work at our school and his participation and membership at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish continues to help form not only his own spirituality, but also that of his family.
