November 15th, 2016, 33rd Week of Ordinary Time
Ave Maria, Hail Mary.
This coming Sunday come to the culmination of the year of mercy. This past Sunday all of the Holy Doors of mercy throughout the world were closed, save the Holy Doors in Rome. What graces did we receive during this year of mercy? What lessons were learned? How can we go forward?
“Mercy is the force that reawakens us to new life and instills in us the courage to look to the future with hope.” Pope Francis
As we desire to continue practicing the corporal and spiritual works of mercy in the coming year, we can look to Mary, the Mother of Mercy. Last week, Mike Tober spoke on the necessity of the Virgin Mary, and devotion to her. If you were unable to attend, listen to the talk here. This week Mr. Maltbie will speak on the Fundamental Truths of Devotion to Mary.

Please see the excerpt below regarding illnesses:
“Children who are ill should stay home until they have recovered their health. They should be completely well before returning. The ability to participate in all school activities, including recess, is a good indicator that the student is ready to return. Students who become ill at school will be sent home.”
Students should stay home for 24 hours after having a fever or vommiting. Please follow this rule to avoid the spreading of germs this winter.

Baby Blanket Marathon Support
Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish & Academy will be sending a bus of 53 representatives to the March for Life in Washington D.C. in January. Most of the participants are the Youth and Young Adults of our Parish and Academy! This group is seeking to gather 800 Yards of donated Fleece for their 12 Hour Baby Blanket Marathon to be held on Saturday, January 7th here at Sacred Heart. The purpose of the Marathon is to raise a greater awareness for the Sanctity of Life, to assist the local Catholic HELP Crisis Pregnancy Center, and to raise necessary funding to offset the travel cost to Washington D.C. for the March. Please prayerfully consider donating yards of fleece. We NEED to start collecting now. The only criteria is that the colors and patterns are baby friendly. Donations of fleece can be left in the back of Church, or dropped off to the parish and/or academy offices. All the fleece will be used to make no-sew baby blankets, all of which will be donated to HELP! Thank you for your support!
