Catholic Science Investigators (CSI) is a new Saturday club exclusively offered to 7th and 8th grade students at Sacred Heart Academy for the 2014-2015 school year. CSI features:
- Fun, hands-on serious experiments that bring science to life
- A new topic and set of experiments each club meeting.
- Activities led by energetic, professional instructors.
- Official Club Member Gear including membership card, lab coat and science journal.
Our club meets (4) Saturdays throughout the 2014-2015 year, at the Saints Peter and Paul Learning Center located at 1433 Hamilton Ave. NW, Grand Rapids. We will meet from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. each time.
The dates and topics are:
Oct. 18, 2014: Learn the Process that Real Scientists use and start working in the lab
Nov. 15, 2014: Dissect a Fetal Cow, Internal organs and eyeballs
Jan. 10, 2015: Chemistry labs – you really are what you eat
Feb. 7, 2015: Take a field trip to a real local science lab and create cool experiments using robotics
